Ulavacharu

In a post dated 31 December 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Ulavacharu, Kompally, on 30 December 2024 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

• Licence

  “FSSAI license not displayed at the premises.”

• Records and certificates

  “Water analysis reports, Pest Control records, Fostac certificates and Health Records of employees were not provided.”

• Expired stock

  “Expired Crushes (3 packs) and Kova (1 pack) & Misbranded and expired food articles (139 Goli Soda bottles) worth Rs. 14,936 were found and seized.”

• Spoiled raw material

  “Vegetables like tomatoes were found in rotten condition.”

• Colours and additives

  “Synthetic food colors were found and discarded on suspicion of use in prepared food articles.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Walls and ceiling were found to be flaky with shredding of particles.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Flooring was found to be patchy, slippery with littering of food waste.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Raw meat like chicken, mutton etc were found to be dumped in the refrigerator in unhygienic manner, which may cause contamination.”

  “Refrigerators were not maintained in hygienic condition. Drains were found to be clogged and not equipped with insect traps.”

  “Paint Brush is used to apply butter.”
