In a post dated 9 June 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Sri Sumadhura Bar & Restaurant, Nalgonda, on 8 June 2024 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

  “Usage of synthetic food colors was traced.”

• Expired stock

  “Expired raw materials such as Saunf, Cashew, Kinley Soda (90 bottles), Paneer, Ajwain, Mono Sodium Glutamate (4pkts), Lemon Yellow Synthetic Food colour, Fungal infested Cauliflower, Boiled Chicken Strips (2kg), Coloured Veg Manchurian (1kg) were discarded.”

• Labelling

  “Corn Flour (27pkts) was seized because of label defects (no batch number) and samples collected.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Prepared food articles stored inside refrigerator. Veg and non-veg items stored in the same place.”

• Food handlers

  “Food handlers found without wearing any haircaps, gloves and aprons.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Dustbins found open without lids and placed nearby cooked Food.”

  “Cleaning area is within the kitchen adjacent to cooking area.”
