Sri Sri Caterers (JNTU College Canteen)

In a post dated 27 June 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Sri Sri Caterers (JNTU College Canteen), JNTU Campus, Kukatpally, on 26 June 2024 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

• Licence

  “The FBO is having improper FSSAI licence.”

• Food handlers

  “Food handlers were found without wearing headgear, gloves and aprons.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Semi-prepared food articles and cut vegetables were not covered and labelled properly.”

• Premises hygiene

  “The kitchen premises was found in unhygienic conditions with food waste thrown directly on the floor.”

• Pests

  “The kitchen premises is not fitted with insect proof screen and doors not close fitted to avoid entry of pests.”

• Records and certificates

  “Medical fitness certificates and pest control records were not available.”

• Expired stock

  “Rice flour (3.5kg) was found expired (31.05.2024) and hence discarded on the spot.”
