Simrats Dhaba

In a post dated 27 July 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Simrats Dhaba, Begum Bazaar, on 26 July 2024 and said a notice would be issued. Its findings are quoted below.

  “The FBO is found operating with FSSAI Registration Certificate instead of State License even though the business comes under license category.”

• Food handlers

  “Food handlers were found without any hairnets, gloves and aprons.”

• Pests

  “Premises was not fitted with insect proof screen avoid entry of pests and doors not closed fitted.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Dustbins were found open without any lids.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Exhaust fan and surrounding areas found greasy and untidy.”

• Labelling

  “Snack Seasoning bottles (2.4kg) were found without proper labelling and hence discarded.”

• Records and certificates

  “Medical fitness certificates for food handlers and Pest Control Records for the premises are not available with FBO.”
