Shakti Milk and Milk Products

In a post dated 1 February 2025, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Shakti Milk and Milk Products, Raghunathpally (M), Jangaon, on 1 February 2025 and said further action would be taken. Its findings are quoted below.

The authority's words “Further action will be taken as per the provisions of FSS Act, 2006 and FSS Rules and Regulations, 2011.”

• Food handlers

  “Food handlers were not following adequate sanitary measures during processing and handling.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Patchy roof and floor observed in the cold storage room.”

• Pests

  “Houseflies and mosquitoes were traced in stored ghee. Dead lizard found in proximity of food articles. Spider webs observed on roof.”

• Records and certificates

  “Pest control records and water analysis reports unavailable.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Equipment was found to be unclean, rusted and unsterilized.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Raw food items were stored in haphazard manner.”

• Labelling

  “Certain labelling defects were observed on packed products.”

• Spoiled raw material

  “720 kg Curd discarded due to contamination, fungal infestation and spoilage. Additionally, 1,700 kg Curd seized due to labelling violations and suspicion of substandard quality.”
