In a post dated 19 December 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Sarvi Restaurant and Bakery, MG Road, Secunderabad, on 18 December 2024 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

• Records and certificates

  “Water analysis reports, Employee Health Records and Fostac certificates of food handlers were not provided.”

• Premises hygiene

  “The containers used for preparing cakes were rusted.”

• Labelling

  “Food articles like cashew biscuits, osmania biscuits, bournvita biscuits etc. were found to be unlabelled without any details like manufacturing and best before dates.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Kitchen floor was found to be untidy and unhygienic. Windows not fitted with insect proof screens.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Refrigerators are found to be unhygienic and the lid of the refrigerator was also found to be rusted. Temperature records not maintained.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Vegetables found stored in plastic trays which were found to be very unhygienic.”

• Food handlers

  “Food handlers found without aprons, hair caps, gloves etc.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Drains in the kitchen found to be clogged with food waste.”
