Kritunga – The Palegar’s Cuisine

In a post dated 22 May 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Kritunga – The Palegar’s Cuisine, Somajiguda, on 21 May 2024 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

• Expired stock

  “Expired Methi Malai Paste(6kg) worth Rs. 1,800 was discarded”

• Labelling

  “Improperly labelled Paneer (6kg), Non-Veg paste and Citric acid of worth Rs. 3K were discarded”

• Water

  “Water bottles (156 No.s) of Kritunga Palegar’s Brand worth Rs. 7,800 were seized, as they contained TDS of just 4ppm using TDS Meter on the spot. Samples sent to Lab for analysis.”

• Food handlers

  “Food Handlers found without Haircaps, Gloves, Aprons, Medical fitness certificates”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Semi-Prepared and raw food articles were stored inside refrigerator without proper labelling and proper covering.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Kitchen premises found open to outside environment without proper mesh/ barrier to avoid entry of pests or flies and Dustbins found open without lids.”
