Indian Durbar Restaurant

In a post dated 3 February 2025, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Indian Durbar Restaurant, Narayanaguda, on 3 February 2025 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

  “Food handlers were found without aprons in kitchen area.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Boiled eggs were found placed near drains without any covering.”

• Pests

  “Severe cockroach infestation was observed in the kitchen.”

• Labelling

  “Food items were found in fridge without preparation and use by dates.”

• Spoiled raw material

  “Rotten tomatoes, green chillies and carrots with fungal infestation were found and discarded.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Sanitary items were placed along with food items in store room.”

• Records and certificates

  “Pest control records and Medical fitness certificates for food handlers were not available.”

• Colours and additives

  “Usage of synthetic food colours was observed.”

• Expired stock

  “Expired food items including Masala Powder (3pkts), Cumin powder (3.5kg - Oct 2024), Hazelnut flavored syrup (Sep 2024), Peach flavored syrup (Mar 2024) and Chilli flakes (Mar 2024) were found and discarded.”
