Hotel Shreya

In a post dated 31 May 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Hotel Shreya, Opp. Bus stand, Hanumakonda, on 30 May 2024 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

  “Usage of synthetic food colors traced.”

• Spoiled raw material

  “Raw chicken (10kg), Rotten eggs (50), Jaggery (7kg), Prepared fish tikka (1kg) which got spoiled and Idly batter (3 kg) was seized and discarded.”

  “House flies found in prepared food & fungal infestation (moulds) found on cooked chicken stored in refrigerator.”

  “Reused cooking oil was discarded.”

• Labelling

  “Drinking water bottles (60 No.s) Sweet corn (10 pkts) were seized for label defects.”

• Food handlers

  “Food handlers found without wearing any haircaps, gloves and aprons and medical fitness certificates.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Dustbins found open without lids and placed nearby cooked food and open drainage observed in kitchen.”

  “Perforated walls and dirt deposition noticed in dining room.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Improper storage of veg and non-veg food, cooked and raw food items and proper temperature was not maintained for long period of time.”
