Hotel New Fishland

In a post dated 2 June 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Hotel New Fishland, Lakdikapul, on 1 June 2024 and said a notice was issued. Its findings are quoted below.

  “Rat infestation observed inside kitchen premises with live rats roaming over floor and exhaust vents. No rat traps were arranged by the FBO.”

• Colours and additives

  “Synthetic food colours found in the kitchen were discarded on the spot.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Dustbins were found open without proper lids.”

• Records and certificates

  “Medical Fitness Certificates for food handlers and pest control records for the premises not available with the FBO.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “The semi-prepared food articles stored inside the refrigerator were found without any covering and without any labels.”

• Licence

  “The FSSAI license true copy was not displayed at the premises.”
