In a post dated 3 February 2025, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Hotel Ashoka, Lakdikapul, on 3 February 2025 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

  “Kitchen walls and floor were found to be untidy. Foul smell observed.”

• Pests

  “Cockroach infestation was observed in the kitchen.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Vessels in kitchen and refrigerator were found to be rusty.”

• Colours and additives

  “Synthetic food colours was found being used in prepared items.”

• Spoiled raw material

  “Rotten brinjal and cauliflower were found and discarded.”

• Records and certificates

  “There is no FoSTaC trained supervisor despite more than 140 people working in the premises.”

• Expired stock

  “Expired food items including Rosemary (Sep 2023) and Curry cut chicken (4kg - 02.01.2025, 2kg - 14.01.2025, 4kg - 28.01.2025) were found and discarded.”

• Water

  “Water analysis reports were not available.”

In a post dated 2 June 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Hotel Ashoka, Lakdikapul, on 1 June 2024 and said a notice was issued. Its findings are quoted below.

• Pests

  “Cockroach infestation observed near red meat storage area.”
