Hotel Ashoka

In a post dated 31 May 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Hotel Ashoka, Hanumakonda, on 30 May 2024 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

• Spoiled raw material

  “Idly batter (8kg), Boiled milk (5L) in which Houseflies were traced were discarded.”

• Expired stock

  “Synthetic food colours, Chicken masala (11 pkts), Sauce (3 bottles) found to be expired and hence discarded.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Prepared food was kept under the roof with spider webs. Oil deposition on roof was also found to be leaking.”

• Other finding

  “Reused cooking oil identified.”

• Expired stock

  “Expired raw materials were found and label defects were identified on food articles.”

• Labelling

  “Indian noodles (17 pkts), Saunf (28 pkts) were seized and samples collected for lab analysis.”

• Food handlers

  “Food Handlers were found without Proper Hairnets, Aprons and gloves.”

• Licence

  “FSSAI License copy was not displayed at any prominent location of the premises.”
