In a post dated 11 January 2025, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Heemankshi Bakers Pvt Ltd, Mekaguda Village, Rangareddy, on 8 January 2025 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Several food articles were found dumped on floor in haphazard manner instead of storing them on pallets.”

• Pests

  “Insect infestation was found on several packed food articles in the storage.”

• Labelling

  “Unlabelled Cocoa powder bags (875 Kg) and Liquid GMS (Glycerol Mono Stearate - 165kg) were seized.”

• Expired stock

  “Several food articles worth Rs. 14,29,600/- were found to be expired and seized.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Creams prepared to be used in manufacturing process were found stored in plastic containers in highly unhygienic condition.”

• Labelling

  “Several food articles like essences, creams etc found in various plastic boxes to be used in the production process were without any use by dates.”

• Premises hygiene

  “Production unit was not equipped with drains and littered with food waste at several places. Pan masala spit stains observed in the unit.”

• Food handlers

  “Food handlers were not equipped with aprons, gloves, shoe covers etc.”
