Grill 9

In a post dated 10 July 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Grill 9, Secunderabad, on 8 July 2024 and did not report an action specific to it. Its findings are quoted below.

• Licence

  “FSSAI license true copy was not displayed at the premises.”

• Expired stock

  “Potli Masala (35pkts expired in April 2022), Sauce (1.4kg), Garlic Chilli Sauce (13pkts) were found to be expired.”

• Other finding

  “Cosmetic Rose Water (250 ml) was found in store room and with suspicion of being used as food ingredient, discarded the item on the spot.”

• Pests

  “Possible rat infestation suspected as rat faeces and burrows observed inside store room.”

• Food handlers

  “Few of the food handlers were found without wearing hairnets, gloves and uniforms.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Food articles stored in the refrigerator were not covered and not labelled properly. Veg and non veg food articles were stored together. Refrigerator was found in unhygienic condition.”

• Records and certificates

  “Pest control records for premises and Medical Fitness Certificates for food handlers were not available.”

• Pests

  “Premises was not fitted with insect proof screen and doors not close fitted to avoid entry of pests.”
