Blinkit Warehouse

In a post dated 6 June 2024, the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana reported inspecting Blinkit Warehouse, Devar yamjal, Medchal Malkajgiri District, on 5 June 2024 and said a notice would be issued. Its findings are quoted below.

• Premises hygiene

  “The premises found to be very disorganised, unhygienic and dusty at storage racks.”

• Records and certificates

  “There is no Fostac trainee available.”

• Food handlers

  “Food handlers were found without headgears, gloves and aprons.”

• Records and certificates

  “Medical fitness certificates of food handlers not available.”

• Storage and refrigeration

  “Cosmetic products were stored along with food products.”

• Other finding

  “The products manufactured by Kamakshi Foods license found to be expired, hence the products of VSR i.e Suji, Raw peanut butter, Maida, Poha, Besan and Bajra worth Rs. 30k were seized.”

• Spoiled raw material

  “Suspected infested Whole Farm Ragi flour and Toor dal of worth Rs. 52k was seized and samples sent to lab.”
